starvin marvin'

Yesterday was the first day I had to be away from Alex for more than a couple of hours. Not bad, considering I've been back at work since August. But I've been dreading leaving him because Alex has only had a bottle a handful of times, and never very succesfully. I left Alex at 7 am and didn't get back again until 6 pm. The whole time I was gone he only took an oz or two of milk. So stubborn! I didn't feel too bad for him, because he made his choice. But I did feel sorry for his teacher. That should be the worst of it; the next time I need to be out of the office for a full day he'll be eating solids.

This picture was not taken yesterday:)

Winter has arrived. I know I shouldn't complain, because we had a beautiful "fall".  Though it was really more of  extended summer. Up until last week we were enjoying 60-70 degree temperatures. This week, it snowed in the valley several times. I've lived here long enough that I should be used to the weather patterns. Yet every year, I expect that we'll have this lovely fall transition that will allow for a month or more of jacket weather.  It never happens that way. Perhaps next year I'll wise up.

I hate being sick. I've got a nasty head cold, evident by the snotty tissues scattered all over my house. I'm hoping it clears up before I get on the plane to St Louis tomorrow. Due to said cold, I can't think of a single cute thing my kids did this week. Not sure if that's because it's keeping me from thinking clearly or if they seem more troublesome than cute when I'm not feeling well:)

It's 3 oclock and my son is still wearing his PJs.  Note the chocolate face and "blood" on his torso (pen marks). It's amazing how the rules go right out the window when you'd rather be curled up in bed.

  1. Yeah, Alex was NOT a happy camper yesterday! Cole kept smiling at him when I was down there like he was teasing him.
