Blamed on the lion

Ben has this massive stuffed lion that undergoes a lot of physical abuse.  He gets thrown, tackled, jumped on and slept with to name a few.  But tonight's the first night he's suffered any emotional abuse.  Ben and his lion were supposed to be going to sleep when Ben calls me into his room.  "My lion won't stop talking" he says.  Add blamed to the list of abuses poor lion endures.

Whoever thought that putting carpet in bathroom was a good idea did not have small children.  I have loathed the carpet in our bathroom ever since we moved in 3 and a 1/2 years ago.  But then there are lots of things I'd like to change about our house, and with working full-time and little ones, house projects take backseat.  Despite the many talks Ben and I have had about keeping the water in the bathtub, some always manages to escape over the edge.  And last night the amount that soaked the carpet was equivalent to a torrential downpour.  So tonight, with both kids in bed, I decided to tear it up.  In the process I discovered that I should have done it a long time ago, and especially before Ben started potty training.  That's right, it's now quite evident to me that Ben has very poor aim.  Gross. Of course I got stuck in the middle of my project because I can't get the carpet out from under the toilet or vanity without Dave's help, and he's at a friend's house playing mechanic.  Guess it'll have to wait until tomorrow.
