The day I've been dreading for many months has come. Alex got his helmet today. He's pretty mellow and I expect will adjust to it just fine. It's me that's having a hard time. It's bulkier than I was envisioning and a bit more obnoxious. But I expect we'll both get used to it quickly. A friend of mine is going to use her cricut to cut out "Just gearing up for football". Hopefully that'll change some of the stares into chuckles.
Ben thinks it's pretty cool and has already tried to crash some of his cars into it:)
He is still a cutie and you're right, he is so easy going that I'm sure he will be just fine with it! And if Ben thinks it's cool, then don't worry about any long lasting teasing or traumatizing happening. Soon all the kids will want one!
