Bathroom Struggles
Babies are so funny. I love to see their personalities forming. It doesn't take them long to become little people and let their likes (and dislikes) be known. Baby Zach, for example, is obsessed with socks and toilets. If you leave a dirty sock on the floor (a seemingly common occurrence in our house,) Zach will snatch it up and carry it around. Sometimes in his hand but more likely in his mouth. If you think that's gross, stick around awhile. If anyone so much as opens the bathroom door, Zach makes a beeline for it, activating his warp speed crawling abilities. Despite constant reminders from yours truly, that bathroom door gets left open on a daily basis. There I am, lost in some task with one child or another when I notice that my little explorer is awfully quiet. Soon after, disgust replaces concern when I glance down the hallway to see the bathroom door left wide open. And there I find Zach, usually up to his elbows in toilet water. Literally. Depending on how long he was at it, there may also be a long roll of toilet paper strewn through the bathroom, in and out of the toilet. Consequently, Zach gets a lot of baths.
