For the love of football

After years of begging, I finally consented to let Ben play rec league tackle football this fall. He is a boy who loves football. He loves playing, he loves cheering on the Broncos with Dave and he loves running Alex and Emily through plays. They get all "padded up," and tackle each other on an extra mattress that lives in the playroom. Alex, who will do most anything to make his big brother happy, plays agreeably. Emily joins in depending on her mood, and how recent it has been since she's gotten hurt playing. Zach clamors at the stair gate, no doubt counting down the days until he's big enough to join in. Ben's rec football season has ended, but the Munson family tackle football league is still going strong.
