A conversation I had with Ben at the hospital...
Ben: How did she come out of you?
Me: Well she was in my tummy (trying to be obscure)
Ben: But how did she get out?
Me: Go ask your daddy
Ben: No, I want you to tell me, you're the one that had her
Me: I'll tell you when you're older
Think I should have told him the whole story???
She's beautiful, Lovely Lady! I am voting for telling Ben a bit more if he asks again. I think what he might imagine could be much more confusing than the truth. Just be scientific, Mom! xoxoxo I can't wait to see you all again. Hope it won't be too long!
ReplyDeleteI told Pearl I pushed Cole out. She was happy with that explanation and the next time she asks more detailed questions, I'll probably tell her. Sometimes I think we our kids will want to know the long, complicated, and gross (at that age) explanation but they really don't.

ReplyDeleteAh he did ask again (this time about a pregnant cat.) He wasn't satisfied by the push it out explanation so I told him how they really get out. "Is that how baby sister came out of you?" "Yes", I responded. "That's weird" he says. Why yes it is Ben:0
