And I slept through the whole thing:) Our good friends are staying with us - such good friends that they took care of our kids in the middle of the night instead of waking us up! Apparently, Ben burst through their bedroom door at 2 am, with his pants pulled down, peeing all over. He must have been disoriented from sleeping in a different room and I guess thought their room was the bathroom. So they sent him to the bathroom to finish and cleaned up the mess, and then back to bed.
A few hours later Alex woke up screaming (I don't know why I didn't hear him, maybe because I was in the midst of a hostage situation in my dream). Well Alex woke up their daughter and she was upset, so they put her to sleep in their room and consoled Alex until he calmed back down. But the crying had also woke up their 2 boys and they had to go through quite a process to get them back to sleep.
Today, our friends are sleep deprived and I feel better rested than I have in months! One of the first things I thought when I woke up this morning is wow, I don't remember the last time I had a completely uninterrupted night. Usually either Alex wakes up crying (molars have been coming in for awhile) or Ben crawls into my bed in the middle of the night and then proceeds to stick his feet in my stomach, and the majority of the time both kids are the culprit. Thanks Johnsons for a good night's sleep!
