Ambush!

After weeks of daytime temperatures in the teens and twenties, today felt like spring with temperatures in the mid 30's. It was the first time in weeks I've ventured outside willingly.  I go stir crazy if I'm shut up in the house for more than a day, and Ben's incessant chatter tends to drive my cabin fever over the edge.  (Me - Ben, please stop talking for just a minute, mom needs some space.  Ben - but I like to talk!)  This was the conversation we had around noon today that made me realize we (I) needed some fresh air.  Alex slept the afternoon away while Ben and I enjoyed the balmy weather. We had a great time - since the snow was melting, it was that perfect packed down stuff that was made for making snowmen and snowballs.  We built a snowman, and made a whole slew of snowballs to ambush Dave with when he got home from work:)  It was well worth the snow that got shoved down my back.

Alex has almost mastered sitting up on his own.  This is my favorite stage of babydom - 6 months on up:)

Ben's quote of the day:  (Ever aware of the many pills his diabetic daddy takes, Ben comments as he's sampling some), "The chocolate chips are my pills."  Mine too, Ben:)

  1. BRRRR. The boys wanted me to post a picture of SD weather today, but I thought that would just be rude.
